A new building for Hertihus

The Hertihus in Bülach is a residence, sponsored by the Salvation Army Switzerland, that offers care and shelter to adults who for various reasons are in difficulty and cannot manage a home of their own.  
 
Everyone who lives here must hold a regular job, at least part time, until they reach retirement. The team that includes figures from the psychiatry, social psychiatry, psychology, social education, occupational psychology and nursing sectors also offers advice and support to interns. 
 
Creative, handicraft  and nature activities are provided for residents’ free time, as well as games and relaxation at the indoor swimming pool and miniature golf course. 
A second location called Frohburg has recently been created, too, where seven more places are available for self-sufficient residents. This building can also be rented by individuals and companies for events of various kinds, and a catering service is available. There is also a sales point for items made by the Hertihus in Bülach residents. 
 
This space, that is built mainly of wood, is lit by 59cm-diameter Isola luminaires in both pendant and recessed versions with General Lighting optics and a colour temperature of 3000K.
