Smart services are changing user experience completely, so messages are now prompt and can be customised to suit users’ needs and preferences. In the case of a retail environment, users can now enjoy a shopping experience where added information can influence choices in an informed and updated way. In a museum, the user can conduct their visit independently by receiving information about the exhibits on their smartphone and enhancing their understanding.

Thanks to this smart service, for example, store managers can increase customer loyalty by improving their user experience. Museums can optimise the management and costs of traditional audioguides. More flexible marketing campaigns can also be created.

With the Jiminy App, users can enhance their visit by receiving multimedia content directly on their smartphone. Managers, on the other hand, can use the Jiminy Admin app to configure each installed iGuzzini beacon and link it immediately to specific content. The configured beacons can be managed remotely, too, via a webpage (CMS) that can be used to add or edit content quickly and easily and customise Jiminy app graphics to suit the user.

Users can turn their personal devices into customised guides and receive audio/video/text information on their smartphones, simply by opening a dedicated app. This service is particularly useful for museums, like Palazzo Sturm in Bassano del Grappa (IT) that has used it to send information regarding the graphic works of Albrecht Durer, displayed in a temporary exhibition. This allowed visitors to enhance their visit by receiving specific information about the works as they walked near them. The same concept applied in Outdoor mode can transform a city into an open-air museum.

Light For Future is a three-year project that seeks to raise public awareness of the issue of environmental sustainability for the Future of the Planet. It creates an experience of light and narration in 3 different cities through the projection of images and indications that people can interact with. Using the Jiminy app, visitors and local inhabitants can enjoy a richer and more engaging multi-sensory urban experience by receiving information regarding the project and the individual creative light works they walk past.
